The RSL Playoffs are coming! All Major Atom, Bantam, Midget, Juvenile, Sr. Men and Sr Women Playoff Rounds will start Monday, May 28th running on weekdays until Thursday, June 7th. Teams should expect to play on any of the weekdays during this time span.

The WMBA would like to announce details regarding their Annual General Meeting as well as advertise a new Board of Directors position within its association. The Annual General Meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 26th, 2012 at 145 Pacific Ave (Sport for Life Centre). The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. At the AGM, the league will announce the location of its next Foundation Outdoor Court, present two Foundation Scholarships to deserving graduating students that have been involved with the league, as well as announce and present the Coach of the Year award to this years recipient. The league will also be appointing existing Board of Directors to new terms, as well as appoint a new Director with the portfolio of "Female Development and Promotion".

The Winnipeg Wolves Basketball Club have announced details on their slate of basketball camps scheduled for this August 6-10. The camps feature coaches Martin Riley and Dean Favoni. They are targeted to boys entering grades 6 to 12. The focus will be on skill development and fundamentals with a low coach to player ratio. All athletes will receive a camp t-shirt.  Winnipeg Basketball Online has announced that it will be hosting its annual 3on3 basketball tournament on June 22-24 at Westwood Collegiate in Winnipeg. The 'I am Basketball' Shooting Camp has been announced open to male students currently in grade 7 or grade 8 (born in 1999 or1998). Grade 6 players upgraded in a grade 7 team can also attend the camp with a 24 spot maximum. As shooting is maybe the most under-taught skill, the camp will help the campers to learn the proper technique with drills, repetition, correction, fun and competitive games and will use basic principles on offence to teach the students how to perform, and how to shoot to score! Players will receive instructions from experienced coaching staff and each player will be placed in a situation where he can learn, improve, and have success in the game of basketball. For details...

The WMBA Foundation have once again announced that it will be awarding two scholarships to provide financial assistance to boys and girls graduating from high school. The awards are geared towards those who have plans to further their education in college or university and intend on pursuing excellence in playing, refereeing, convening or coaching basketball.

The WMBA Foundation is pleased to announce that it will now be able to offer subsidies for community clubs participating with the WMBA Community Club league. Two Subsidies of $500 will be available annually on an application and need basis and will be used to help clubs purchase needed equipment to start up within the league.
