To get involved as a league referee, you must attend a MABO / Basketball MB Certified Officials clinic on an annual basis and be at least 15 years old in the year of the clinic.  For details on upcoming clinics, visit the web sites of Basketball Manitoba or the Manitoba Association of Basketball Officials.

REFEREES: To be added to our referee email update list, please subscribe to the 'WMBA Net News' to the left with your full name and an active email address.  On the confirmation page, check the 'Referee Update (Officials Only)' box to be added to the referee email list.  That list is exclusive for WMBA referees only and will be checked regularly for accuracy.

Registration Day

The WMBA welcomes all community centre convenors! On the left you will find menu items pointing to all the information you will need.

Convenors are the backbone volunteer that makes up the WMBA.  They are responsible for handling and promoting the registration process at the club, creating teams, managing equipment and representing their club at WMBA meetings.

If you would like to help out with the basketball operation at your club - please contact the current Club Convenor from our list of active clubs and offer your help!

The WMBA welcomes all gym supervisors! On the left you will find menu items pointing to all the information you will need.

The WMBA hires Gym Supervisors to be at all league games to ensure the sites are set up and ready for basketball including all required equipment.  They are also responsible to keep the day on schedule and deal with any problems which may arise during the games.  

These individuals can be identified by their red gym supervisor shirts.
